Sean Quigley, Winnipeg‘s Little Drummer Boy, has earned the attention of an L.A. talent agent, MacRay Artist Management .
Quigley played all the instruments, sang the vocals, recorded everything and shot, directed and edited the video.
Within 24 hours of being posted it had been viewed over 4,000 times and started getting a social media buzz, with people posting it on Facebook and Twitter.
It has now earned nearly one million hits.
Quigley’s dad Bill told CBC News that talent manager Jason MacRay contacted him and said he wants to help make Sean a star.
“[He’s] trying to get him some more exposure in the United States, number one, because we’re going great here in Canada. And number two, if he could land a record deal for Sean that would be on the top of his list, too.”
Bill said he’s always been aware of his son’s talent but the sudden surge in attention is taking some getting used to.
“He’s always had a real gift for that and we’ve certainly supported that over the years so, am I totally surprised this has happened? No. But we are surprised, you know what I mean?” Bill said.
He noted there was a chance his son would be on the Rosie O’Donnel talk show but the producers ran out of space for the Christmas season.
